Asia, Asia, Asia....Moldova!? MOLDOVA!

After (literally) a year I am excited to announce that I have been invited into the Peace Corps as a small business development volunteer in Moldova. Now, to be honest with you I didn't know exactly where Moldova was either, don't worry. Moldova is a small land locked country between Ukraine and Romania. Not far from the Black Sea, and just a country away from Hungary (where I spent a semester abroad). To say I am elated would be an under statement. From the very beginning of the application process I was told two things: first, that the application process takes a long time, and  second, to be flexible.  Here we are one year later and I can fully vouch that yes, this does in fact take a long time and yes, you do have to be flexible. But, after many tests, needles, forms and lots of waiting I can finally say that I am beginning to see the Eastern European light at the end of the tunnel.

I have decided to keep this blog, mostly for myself as a way to remember my times spent "Outside the 603" --Thus, the name. Clever, right? I guess the funny part is that I am actually sitting in my dorm room in Durham, NH (i.e. breaking the 'outside the 603' title but lets not get too technical). Also, before I begin to regularly post on this thing a more proper name for this blog would be "Sucks at grammar" --a blog for the comma illiterate. Those sneaky bastards get me every time. So, I apologize if your pet peeve is grammar, this won't be the blog for you. Anyways, I have sufficiently procrastinated doing any substantial homework, and so, that is all I will leave you with for now.
